Hair update

First of all I can't believe how much my hair has grown since letting my natural colour come through at the top! I mean I had super long hair when I was a child but I never thought it could grow to this length again. Hallelujah! I have been feeling that my blonde at the bottom of my hair had been looking a little dull so when my friend told me about her experience with Hxhair and having a lurk on her instagram I knew I wanted to get my hair done by her. Hxhair is a big inspiration to me as I know how much hard work and time she has put into her business and the quality of her work is amazing.  I instantly felt comfortable with her and she was full of helpful tips and tricks to keep my hair healthy and looking good. I already had ombre in my hair so she lightened it first at the bottom and then used Affinage Cool Blonde which got rid of any nasty yellow tones and replaced them with subtle silver.
I am not a fan of having my hair blow dried at the hair dressers normally as I think it leaves my hair a little flat. Although in this case I loved it we used Fudge styling Body Builder - Body Booster. To get some volume in there and I must say I noticed the difference straight away. I was a little worried about putting products in my root area as it can get greasy very quickly but my hair felt glorious! What really stood out to me was that Hxhair had just taken on a junior and from her personal experience she knew that she wanted the Junior to start learning straight away not to just sweep floors. On her first day she washed my hair and had a customer come have a colour which I thought was fantastic. Hxhair is brilliant at doing bright and pastel colours for you dare devils out there. I can't tell you how excited I am to have marshmallow pink in the bottom of my hair next time! Honestly I can't thank her enough for how gorgeous she has made my hair. Reasonable price, amazing quality and such a friendly girl. Also her love of pizza is on par with mine! There is a link to Hxhair's Facebook above and links below. Also links to products are attached above.

Go check her out! ox

Liverpool take 2

loved Liverpool that much when I went for my birthday earlier in the year I wanted my partner to experience it too. We were both in need of a nice weekend away and we found the gorgeous Titanic Hotel possibly the poshest hotel I have ever been to! The room was enormous and we extremely enjoyed the Rum bar oops! The bed was beyond comfy and our bathroom had a wet room vibe to it. Amazing! We shopped till we dropped and then realised we were extremely hungry so we found the cutest deli called PaoloandDonatositaliandeli. Their panini's were insane I had a glorious pestoand mozzarella number and a milkshake filled with Kinder ice cream! Heaven! I bought some macaroons to take away as a little treat too. We were planning on having a night on the tiles on the Saturday but we were exhausted so I was pretty content with having the nicest looking room service and watching rubbish on telly in bed. Plus I was still nursing a rum headache from the night before. All in all a lovely trip and not excluding a good ole blow out in Primark! I seem to judge city's by their Primark and I must say Liverpool scored pretty highly. ox

Taking some time.

I have had a few things that have been nerve racking over the past month or so. I admit my nerves can get the better of me and I end up feeling that I could of done better If I had calmed down.

I have been using YouTube meditation videos and an app called Headspace to help me get to grips with my thoughts and I've got to say it's working.
I am not saying miracles happen but I feel a lot calmer and in control after a very short time of using meditation. Just taking ten minutes or so out of your day to calm your thoughts and have some time to yourself can only be a good thing. I feel I benefit from guided meditation because if someone is not talking me through it. I fear I will start thinking about shopping lists and silly things. That's when the negative thoughts sneek in. Convincing yourself that you can achieve your goals really helps you build confidence in yourself. As my mom always says your brain tries to give you more of what you want so why feed it doom and gloom when you could fill yourself with happiness?

The quote above over a pretty picture of my last holiday really resinates with me. Instead of feeling crap about missing out how about taking the positive out of it and learn something from it. I know it's easier said than done, but maybe give it a go next time you feel a bit stressed.

Have you got any tips on how to keep calm? ox
