New addition to the family.

Meet Baby Florence! (She's having a little yawn in the picture above!)
Isn't she adorable? Ok I have been feeling a little sorry for myself lately. My emotions have been like I have been on a roller coaster and I have realised that it is pretty selfish of me, as I have such wonderful people around me. When I feel so down I can't see past my own feelings but this weekend has really made me look at things differently. On Friday my amazing fiancé surprised me with a car which is just nuts! I couldn't believe my eyes and it has really gave me the kick up the bum I need to pass my test. I still can't believe I have a car of my very own! Sunday we got up early and went to cake taste at a lovely little place called AmertonFarm. We made our booking  and are very excited to see how the cake turns out. As wedding preparation goes I think we are doing pretty well. Next up we went to collect our little girl tortoise! My partner has been adamant he wanted a pet tortoise. I was a little reluctant when I saw a giant tortoise house in my living room. Although picking her up today was so cute and seeing the happiness on my partner's face was lovely. I must say I've been worrying about her already and I definitely feel love for her. She seems to be enjoying her new home and seems a sassy little thing which is perfect for our household. She is a little timid around us at the moment. I just hope she likes living with us. I mean they do live for over 60years! My lovely mom came over to see our flat and have some lunch and she made me a little scroll for creating happiness when I'm down. We do joke that she isn't the most creative person in the world but I really appreciated everything about it. We had a such a nice time as I haven't seen her in ages. Sometimes all you need is a kind word from family.

I am not saying to cheer yourself up you have to go and buy expensive things or new reptiles but when your feeling down just stop and look at the little things that mean the most and you will start to feel so much better.

I hope you all have had a lovely week! ox

Battle of the brands - Tony & Guy vs Fudge shampoo review

I've been on the hunt for a shampoo that actually makes my hair feel clean. As I am a little addicted to dry shampoo It does tend to leave a build up which makes my hair feel gross after about a day. So firstly I bought the Toni&Guy Cleanse shampoo for dry hair. It's a recent range for salon perfect hair but on the high street and I jumped at the chance to try it as it had an introductory price of under a fiver. Nice! Immediately I felt a difference when using it as it lathers up like a dream. Giving you that salon experience. It felt easier to dry as in not so dense when wet. Leaving my hair glossy and lightweight. I'm not sure if my hair looks any less dry but it sure gave me a boost in confidence.

Secondly I had heard good things about the Fudge De-Gunk Deep Clean Shampoo. I have got to say this is my favorite purely for the smell! It is called Citrus mint and my gosh does it smell delicious! It reminds me of a mixture between toothpaste and Lemon and lime. A new scent combination for me but I was in love. This also lathers up gloriously making you feel like your hair has had a major deep clean. I have been using this once a week to get rid of any product that has been hiding. I was frightened it might strip my colour but it hasn't at all. Just left my hair feeling wonderful! I would recommend both of these if you have a struggle with styling product build up.

Babyliss vintage glamour wave maker review

Originally I bought this product for my mom for Christmas as she is always on the constant quest for the perfect curl. After seeing her use it I decided I wanted one. Today I only put a few waves in both sides of my hair and I was pretty happy with the beachy look that this device created. This wand is nothing like any I've ever used before as it has an oval shaped barrel. Which is perfect for creating bouncey waves. It has five different temperature settings which I really like as it's nice to have a choice. It comes with a heat protection glove which is a good idea especially for people like me who insist on touching the heated barrel!
It also has a auto shut off mode which is very helpful as we can all have that panic of "did I turn them off!?" No need to worry with this product! I got the wave maker for around £20 which is a bargin as it is a great product. I also love the vintage pattern on the device handle. Little details really make a difference I think.

Have any of you tried this product? ox
