March makeup haul

I recently realised that I have collected quite a bit of new makeup recently and I thought I would share this little haul with you.

First up the Studio fix powder plus foundation by MAC. I was lucky enough to receive this as a gift from my friends at work for my birthday. I am normally used to cream or liquid foundations, so this is a nice change. As its powder based it is really light weight on the skin and you feel like your face can still breathe when the product has been applied. I use the shade NW15 which is just right for my skin tone it has good coverage but without feeling cakey.

Onto my favorite product from this haul the Rimmel colour rush colour balms I bought two of these bad boys one called 300 viva violet which is a gorgeous plum colour and 610 sun kissed which is a lovely bright coral without being too in your face. I have been on holiday recently and these were perfect I used them solidly as they added such a nice pop of colour but kept your lips hydrated and soft. They were quick and easy to apply which was great when your in a hurry to get to the pool.

Next the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Fluid touch, my initial thoughts of this product was that I didn't really understand the applicator, it is a droplet shape which you drip or dab the product onto your finger. I did think this was a little odd. As for the foundation itself, It is a super soft consistency and feels really smooth. The coverage isn't as full as I would normally go for, Although with a little powder I do enjoy wearing it.

Moving onto the Seventeen blush stamp in star struck it comes in a little cute compact with a mirror on the bottom but I have to say the stamp applicator is a little frightening. As you really do have to stamp it on your cheeks and look a little bit like a China doll to start with, although with a little blending a small bit goes a long way and the colour gorgeous. They have a few other colours that I am tempted to try out. Especially the peachy coral shade.

The Apocalips gloss really surprised me as I am not a massive fan of lipgloss, it's just annoys me how sticky they can be! This is such a rich colour and shiny, it adds impact to any look and I do love the colour. Unfortunately it did dry my lips out a little when I wore it for a length of time.

Next in line is the Scandal eyes - eyeshadow stick In 011 Buffering which I am wearing today. It's so easy to apply, a few sweeps and your peepers are ready to go! I blended it with my finger and added a little brown eyeshadow to the corners which went really well with the rusty gold colour of the product. It's a lovely smooth consistency and adds a smokey finish to your eyes.

MAC matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy, well this is my new love! I have wanted this for ages as I am obsessed with Kylie Jenner and I set my friend the dreaded task of trying to find it for my birthday.
She prevailed and I was over the moon. It's such a gorgeous sultry nude which is quite dark compared to the nudes I already own and I am loving it at the moment, it is go to lipstick.

Max factor colour elixir lip liner in 02 pink petal, this is a pretty perfect match for Velvet teddy. Don't get me wrong, it is a little lighter than the actual lipstick. Although I think it adds that fuller lip action when applied before hand. It was a little pricey for a lip liner as I do normally buy budget ones, but I am glad I made the choice and think it really adds something to a subtle makeup look.

Have you tried any of these products, If so what do you think of them? Ox

Liverpool

It was my birthday last week and my mom treated me to a night in Liverpool.
As we were going to see Mama Mia and the Empire Theatre. I massively enjoyed the whole experience! I do have a habit of saying "I would live here" when I go to any new city. Although this time I really meant it. The atmosphere, the amount of quirky bars and resturants, the town centre. I just loved everything about it! Mama Mia was brilliant and the Theatre was beautiful. The voices on the actors were amazing and there was a little eye candy for the older ladies at the front who were seriously whooping and hollering when the males came on. We went to the Theatre pub next door which served amazing late night celebrity named pizzas on Slabs of granite and cocktails for £3.50! That's my idea of heaven! Turns out we were sat next to the cast at our table and my mom being super cool says "you must be knackered from all that dancing?!" ... Smooth! It was a great end to a lovely night. We also went to TheCavarn which is famous for the Beatles playing there. Everyone was dancing along to the tribute act and just really seemed to be enjoying themselves. It had such a cool vibe with its nostalgia oozing out of it. I loved the fact that there was graffiti from people who had visited over the years all over the walls and cealing and I'm so happy I went. We stopped at TheLinerHotel which was gorgeous and they do a pre Theatre meal which is a pretty handy. The crisp white sheets and 24hr room service was just what we needed! So I've got to say I will be planning my next trip very soon!
