New Year's Eve look

Sorry about the quality of the picture but I thought I would quickly show you what makeup I used last night, I was quiet happy with my contour which is very rare!  I used Mac mineralize foundation in NW15. (This now for special occasions as I have unfortunately hit pan, which I am
very sad about!) I used Makeup revolution ultra blush palette in golden suger, the darkest bronzer shade and then a little of the shimmer pink on my cheeks. I used the sleek contour palette for my highlight mine is in light. I used the the Makeup revolution Redemption Iconic 3 palette for my eyes I used three different brown shades going from light to dark and then I used the darkest shade under my eye and and right in the corner of the lid. I then used Rimmel Lash Accelerator on my lashes and the Eylure
Girls aloud eyelashes, which are a classic in Kimberly. They are lovely and natural but have a little darker section on the ends which are super pretty. I had the Rimmel soft khol eyeliner in white on my water line. Then the Gothic glam lipstick in seduction by Collection 2000, which is a super dark berry colour perfect for winter.

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year's Eve! ox

Makeup Revolution Christmas haul

A couple of months a go i stumbled upon Makeuprevolution through Instagram and I instantly was intreged as I saw lots of positive feedback. After having a mooch at the website and seeing what a huge variety of products they had online, I got very excited and the best thing is their website is constantly being added too which I think is a total bonus for those makeup addicts like myself. Father Christmas seemed to catch onto this and I was very lucky to recieve a lovely little haul of their products from my boyfriend and friends.

Firstly I recieved the 'I heart eyeshadow palette in Death by chocolate' which is amazing value and the shadows are so rich and pigmented. I also found the colour range a brilliant dupe for the Two faced chocolate bar palette. A collection of 16 shadows varying in shimmer and matte shades. I have been using this pallette none stop as they are beautiful colours for soft day time looks.

Next up was the 'Ultra 32 shade eye shadow palette in Flawless' I wanted this due to the lovely autumn colours and I am all over the cranberry and berry shades in the palette.

A girl can never have enough blush so I opted for the 'Ultra professional blush palette in Golden suger' which had me completely sold at first use. A selection of gorgeous shimmery highlights, blush and bronzer perfect for the every day glow all the way to that shimmery night out glamour. Absolute beaut!

Followed by the 'Redemption palette in Iconic 3'. which is an amazing dupe for the 'Urban Decay naked 3 palette'. Such a gorgeous bunch of pinks, rose golds and browns perfect for those soft and girly makeup looks. I think when summer comes around this palette will be in use constantly.

Then finally check out this bad boy! The 'ultimate eyeshadow collection' which the colour range is incredible. I genuinely think I could use a different eye shadow every day of the week. There are some stunning darker shades which have different coloured glitter mixed in which will definately make you stand out from the crowd.

The quality of these products for the price really impressed me.

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone is enjoying their christmas!

I just thought I would write how grateful I am for such a lovely couple of days. I have been extremely lucky this year and go everything I wanted and more but I really feel that christmas is not about receiving presents. I must say I felt more excited to give my presents this year just waiting for the reaction as I always try and find gifts a little less ordinary and I made a few this time around as well which probably is not cute as I am twenty two but I love anything arty so I thought why not get creative and give something personal and I have got to say I am pleased with the outcome which is pretty rare for me as I lack confidence in my art most of the time.
What I really enjoyed was waking up in the morning in my own flat opening presents from under my own tree. Also my mom bought my grandad a game from the 1950s and it was so lovely to really spend some quality time with my family even if my mom won! My grandparents are always so grateful for what they receive and it was so nice to see them happy.
I will do some reviews on all the lovely things santa brought.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

know everyone says that Christmas time is stressful I have always thought it was an exaggeration. Not this year! The impact of Christmas has punched my bank account in the face and left me extremely sleepy. It may be down to this year being the first year in my own place and actually feeling like an adult. I think I am finally almost ready for the festivities, she sayings frantically sticky taping everything in gold paper. As much as I did get laughed at for getting stuck in shop doors as I had so many bags. I am feeling super excited for Christmas now I have the opportunity to make new traditions. This year a lot of things of changed but in a good way and this is the first time me and my boyfriend get to spend Christmas Eve together which I intend to force him to watch every cheesy Christmas film going!

Sunday outfit of the day

I thought I would share with you my outfit from yesterday as I really enjoyed wearing it. I am loving the cold shoulder 90s vibe at the moment which is strange, as I used to wear tops like the one above when I was about nine but they are back with a vengeance and I adore them. I think it just adds a little something to an outfit. I got this beaut from Boohoo. I am equally obsessed with tartan and I bought this snood from Tesco last year. It just goes with so much and is super easy to wear. I teamed these items with some leather look leggings from primark which only cost me a couple of quid and have lasted ages. As for my jacket I have been wanting one of these for a life time from Topshop and bagged myself one this year and can't stop wearing it. It's fleece lined which is brilliant for these chilly months but it isn't too heavy either.

I want to do more posts like this, what do you think? Ox

As I had a week off we thought we would go somewhere nice for just a day or two. Originally looking at Liverpool, we found a really good deal for two nights at the JurysInn in Dublin city centre for a lot cheaper so we thought why not. I have been to Ireland a couple of times before as a lot of my family originate from there but it was when I was a lot younger. As my partner had never been before  I thought it would be a great opportunity. The first thing I noticed was how everyone was so friendly it was really lovely just to have people be polite I know it sounds silly but it really is refreshing.
The hotel was modern, clean and the beds were so comfy. The weather was a little bit chilly to say the least but any chance to wear a hat and I am on, it so I didn't really mind. We spent most of our time just walking around exploring what was around us and soaking up the atmosphere. we found a little place that really stood out for lunch on our first day, called Elephantandcastle it looked so inviting from outside and definately caught our eye, it was suave and chic but we felt relaxed immediately. As for the food, I went for one of the club sandwiches and I was really impressed. It was everything I was after fresh, flavorful and loads of it! We also found a pub right by our hotel on the corner and we went in there every day. (Unfortunately I do not know the name sorry.) I am a creature of habit and if I find somewhere I like I will go in there over and over again, my boyfriend is the same. We tend to do this everywhere we go. It was the type of pub that you could sit in for hours. Quilted booths, waiter service and yes those chips in the picture above! Amazing! I mean just look at those bad boys those are the kind of carbs you forget about your diet for. I even tried my first Guinness and black, I can't say I loved it but I am glad I tried. All in all a really great couple of days shame about the massive cold we both came back with. Winter is definitely here!

Autumn ombré

As much as I loved my recent hair change, I felt it wasn't drastic enough and as I have wanted ombré for such a long time I just took the plunge. It took a lot less time to do as I was all over blonde prior to this. I must admit when I saw the colour at the top to begin with I freaked out a little. As it was super dark to what I was used to. Apart from my silver hair I think this is my favorite hair colour/colours I've had yet and that is saying something as I have been dying my hair since I was thirteen! I really love how the colours blend and with a little texture spray and a quick run through with your fingers you've got that boho messy look as I am super lazy at times and not having to spend ages on my hair is pretty nice.

Have you made any changes for autumn? ox

Forever living review

As a little side note I am sorry for the lack of posts lately. Things have been so busy that I havn't had time to do all the things I want to do so unfortunately my little blog has been a bit lonely recently but here is a little review to get back in the game.

I have heard so many good things about the Foreverliving range and how their  Aloe Vera and bee products are naturally pure and free of all the nasty stuff. So when someone lovely offered me the chance to try a sample hamper I jumped at the chance! My first thought was how lovely the presentation was and how the packaging was clean and minimal. I liked how the packaging wasn't cluttered and they really kept it neutral keeping with the theme of natural goodness. Out of all the products I tried I'd say the three above were my favorite aswell as the little sachet of tooth gel. When I first tried the gel It was a little unusual for me as I'd never tried anything like it before. The green gel foams straight away and really left my mouth feeling fresh and as silly as it sounds I felt proud of my teeth after using this product.

Next up was the Aloe - Jojoba shampoo and conditioning rinse, this stuff was lovely to use, it lathered up really quickly and smelt amazing. Once I dried my hair it felt soft and I absolutely loved the clean feeling it gave my hair.

Finally the product that really stood out to me was the Aloe Propolis Creme. Now this stuff impressed me from the first application. I suffer from really dry hands especially in the colder and recently I have even having some trouble with them. So when I heard that this Creme helps to heal dry skin I was excited to see if it would help me. Imidately after rubbing this into my hands they felt hydrated. I saw that the redness had reduced pretty soon after and in a few applications of just a tiny amount I have noticed a suprising change in my hands.

I am really glad I got the chance to try these and I must say I would happily use them again.

So I changed my hair

I had been thinking of going darker for awhile as I adored my silver blonde hair but that amount of bleach on a regular basis was so damaging! It did make me feel a bit more unique being that blonde but I knew it couldn't last. So my amazing hair dresser came to my flat and stayed till nearly 9pm to re colour my mane. I had an all over dusty blonde colour with silver blonde and honeys put through it. When it was wet I was hyperventilating that it was brown. Although as soon as I dried it I really liked it, don't get me wrong it was a shock but a nice one. My roots were originally a little bright but after one wash they calmed down instantly. I feel more autumny now is that weird?! ox

Camper Van trip to Cornwall

This month we decided to do something a little different and hire a camper van travelling the coast of cornwall for a couple of days and we had so much fun. I have to say a big thank you to Camperhirecornwall for giving us a holiday that will not be forgotten. Agnes is a beautifully restored camper from 1978. The company are super friendly and were happy to help if we needed anything which was lovely and gave us that extra reasurence. We really enjoyed our new little home and were a little lost when we had to give her back. I must say Agnes got a lot of attention and often we would come back to find people were having photos with her which was an experience in itself.
We also took a trip to the Edenproject, I have been before when I was younger but it was all new for my partner and I could see him taking it all in. They had an amazing dinosaur theme this summer and as I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was a kid, I was in my element. Although I think if I saw a moving life size T Rex coming for me at the age of six I think I would of cried my eyes out. Most of the children there seemed to take it in their stride though maybe children are braver these days. We had a beautiful dinner at the Italian restaurant in the Mediterranean pod which really felt like you were abroad.
Over the few days we did a lot of visiting beaches and demolishing fish and chips and possibly the best ice cream in the world. we even went on a little twelve man plane to the Isleofscilly  which was beautiful even if it was a little windy and I was in a tiny summer dress on a boat. I would really recommend having a visit but maybe take a rain coat as I learn't the hard way that you can never trust that ole british weather.

Topshop glow stick review

    Topshop Glowstick in Play up.
I've heard a lot of good things about topshop makeup and I've seen this product on others and it looks gorgeous so I treated myself. It was a whole ten pounds which is a bit steep for a total drugstore fiend like myself. Don't get me wrong I love high end cosmetics but if I can snatch a bargin I am first one in the que.
So I took this little beauty home and gave my cheeks a generous swipe or two. My Initial thoughts were that I loved how easy it was to apply, blend it into your skin with your fingers and your done. I was a little disappointed with how subtitle it was on my face though. So if your a deep contour and highlight fan I wouldn't recommend it but for that gentle summer glow this product is really pretty. I find it does show up more with a heavier coverage of foundation though but I am very fair so I find this with most highlight products.

Have you tried this product? I'd love to know your favorite highlight?

A little something for saturday

The question we all get asked when friday comes around is "what are you doing this weekend?" This saturday I didn't have the answer and it felt good. There is nothing wrong with not having anything planned sometimes. Let's face it the summer months are normally crammed with birthdays, weddings, festivals, holidays and now and again doing nothing comes as a relief.
This morning I was an early bird which for anyone that knows me is not like me. As much as it pained me to hear my alarm on a saturday after the initial struggle it was a nice realisation that I had the whole day in front of me. So I went and got my dreaded roots sorted and it always is a lengthy process but I opted for 'leaving it to naturally dry'. I am trying to be as kind to my hair as possible in this weather. (She says after lashings of bleach ... sorry) As l do really like the whole undone look for summer. We had a little trip to Waitrose  and got some beautiful cupcakes in the style of ice creams they even had an adorable mini spade as you would at an ice cream parlour on holiday. Weekend treats are always something to look forward to as I love food and attempting to get a beach bod during the week seems to fall by the way side when those two lovely days come along at the end of a hard slog at work. I caught up on reading, cleaning and all those little things you push aside when busy. Then to bump up the calories a little more we had pulled pork baps one of my favorite meals and I have got to say a 'doing nothing' day is nothing to be ashamed of. I think everyone deserves to sit on their bum when they find a empty calendar day.

Phil Smith deep barrel waver review

I had the Phil Smith deep barrel waver for my birthday but I hadn't got round to using it, so this weekend I thought I would give it a go. I found that it heated up really quickly which Is handy for me as I am super inpatient. Although it is pretty bulky so I found it a little difficult to put down anywhere when hot. It is self explanatory to use,  partition the hair into sections and put the waver closest to the root to start then press down for a few seconds then repeat moving it further down the already waved section until you get the look you are happy with continuing this round your whole head. What I did like about this waver was that I could miss out sections and it gave it that undone look to my hair. Also that the waver would style the sections of my hair within minutes. When I first looked in the mirror after using this I was a little frightened that I looked like I was twelve again but after I ran my fingers through it, added some taming spray and pulled it to one side I instantly loved it. I felt it looked really beachy and I can't wait to re do this look again and again this summer.

What's your favorite look this summer?

June beauty favourites

I know I have really got to start keeping my blog consistent but trying to juggle everything at the moment is a bit if struggle. So I thought to myself I must make time for the things I enjoy and my little blog is one of them. Here is a couple of my June favorites firstly Benefit stay don't stray eyeshadow primer. I watch so many makeup tutorials and pretty much 98% of them use eyeshadow bases or primers so you can imagine my delight when this little beaut turned up in my Birchbox. It goes on just as easily as a concealer and a little really does go along way. when I use it I do notice how it enhances my eyeshadow and keeps it there without smudging around my eyes especially on a night out that super helpful. Secondly Rimmel London gel liner now this is a god send, I have been looking for something like this for ages. If you have read my previous posts you will know I have an obsession for eyeliner and I am on the constant quest for the easiest way to create the ole cat eye. This little pot is great, it's thick but doesn't clog and spreads lovely and smooth. I find the little brush is very helpful for that extra precision. Next up Clarins hydra quench cream I have combination skin and I need a moisturiser that hydrates my skin but doesn't leave it shiney and this is my go to at the moment. A tiny bit leaves my face all dewy and soft without being greasy, happy days! I had to throw in some Soap and glory in my favorites and my best friend right now is Hand food. My Job leads me to washing my hands a lot with harsh antibacterial soaps and gels and it really can take its toll. I have been putting this on a lot recently and I have there is such a difference, it starts to fix any damage straight away and it smells amazing! My favorite lipstick this month has to be Revlon pink pout which originally I bought as a dupe for MAC Snob. I automatically fell in love with it as it's such a gorgeous soft pink that adds that girly feel to any look without being to in your face. Which is new for me as I am a sucker for bright lippy! Finally Liz Earl cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser I have never tried a cleanser like this before but it came with a little wash cloth aswell which I found interesting. After using it my face felt so lovely and clean and with the hot cloth it just feels like your face is getting a deeper clean.

Have you found any favourites this month? xo

Sleek light contour kit

I have been looking for a contour kit for awhile but as I am very fair skinned I was undecided on which one was best for me. On a trip to London I found this Sleek pressed powder contour kit in 'light'. I have been soaking up knowledge about the perfect contour on youtube and have gave it a go a couple of times now. I was surprised of how much a difference it makes to just every day make up. It adds such a lovely finish to any look and I found I enjoyed having minimal eye makeup whilst wearing it as the contour let me get away with it. I must say I am really impressed with this product as it is a reasonable price and the highlighter that comes with it is has a gorgeous shimmer to it.
I have never really used Sleek before but I think I am going to try out a few more of their products and see if I love them just as much as this kit. Have any of you got this at home? Do you find it easy to use? xo

Outfit of the day

I have never done a outfit of the day post due to being a little scared but here is my first one ever. Sunday was a glorious sunny day and I thought I would make most. I wore a little daisy summer dress from H&M and I got these heeled jelly shoes which were actually a River Island dupe from eBay for eight pound. I also added some cute little frilly socks from topshop.
